A significant milestone for the future of Chemiepark Genthin was reached on 31 August 2026, when several founding partners of the planned “Chemiepark Genthin” special-purpose association presented their joint declaration of intent to State Secretary Stefanie Pötzsch at the Ministry of Economy, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry in Magdeburg.
inprotec is set to become one of the three industrial companies represented in the association and explicitly supports the initiative. Together with the other companies located within the chemical park and the participating municipalities, the aim is to establish a sustainable framework for securing and further developing the site’s infrastructure. Key areas of focus include investments in roads, railway connections, water supply and wastewater management.
The support expressed by the State of Saxony-Anhalt represents an important step towards strengthening the long-term competitiveness and attractiveness of Chemiepark Genthin. A modern and reliable infrastructure is essential to support existing businesses, enable future investment and create the conditions for continued industrial growth.
For inprotec, the Genthin site is of strategic importance and represents a key pillar of the company’s long-term growth strategy. The site plays an important role in expanding production capabilities, serving customers successfully and supporting the sustainable development of the business. At the same time, the expertise, commitment and dedication of the employees in Genthin are fundamental to the site’s success and make a significant contribution to the continued growth of the company.
“Through our commitment, we are making a clear statement in support of the Genthin site and its long-term development. The site is an important driver of growth for inprotec and a key element of our future strategy. The planned establishment of the association will help strengthen the long-term competitiveness of Chemiepark Genthin, safeguard industrial employment and create new opportunities for investment and growth.”
